INDEPENDENT LABORATORY TEST RESULTS

Our Secure brand hip protectors have been tested to determine if they reduce the force below the fracture point in the event of a fall. The pads were tested by Collision and Injury Dynamics, Inc. headquartered in El Segundo, CA.

The hip fracture threshold of an elderly person is 3100N (+/- 1200N). The average force of the left and right Secure hip pads was 1366N and 1531 N respectively. The tailbone pad was 1841N. All pads reduced the force associated with a fall below the threshold fracture point.
